Join our team and Be You Be Aptar.Aptar is seeking an Assembly Technician (3rd Shift) based in Cary, IL. This position is fully onsite. This role is responsible for the total production process through the finished goods stage as well as for product safety and the quality of goods produced. Shift Hours: 12:20am - 8:30am, Monday - FridayAs an Assembly Technician You Will: Monitor multiple high speed automated production machines to insure quality production standards are achievedVerify correctness of components from shop order to component number, to prevent mixed or wrong partsPerform quality checks visually and using various inspection gaugesPerform testing of assembled product to insure product meets performance requirementsFill machine hoppers for multiple machinesPerform rework at machine and sort machine scrapPerform recordkeeping duties using various production forms and a PCLoad tubing onto or into machinery and threads tubing into machine where necessaryPerform traceability and lot control functions utilizing a hand held scannerPerform and meet the requirements of BRC/GMP/ISO in all job activitiesWho We Are Looking ForMust be able to work as a member of a team, have a high energy level and be able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. EducationHS Diploma or GEDRequired Skills Must be able to stand 40% and walk 60% of the shiftMust be able to lift/move up to approximately 25 pounds (10% of shift) and reach above shoulder 5% of shiftMust be able to scoop component parts weighing approximately 1 pound on a continuous basisMust have the ability to grasp or thread tubingMust be able to bend and push (20% of shift) cartons of product weighing up to 40 pounds throughout the shift (every 10-15 minutes)Must have good vision in order to perform visual inspection dutiesMust be able to hear warning signals and verbal alerts to avoid injury during manufacturing processMust be able to read, write and speak English in order to communicate and understand relevant information relating to quality and production issuesMust be able to discern shades of color and color differences relating to component parts used in the manufacturing processMust be able to climb steps and read various inspection gaugesMust possess basic math and PC Who We AreAt Aptar, we leverage insights, design, engineering, and science to develop cutting-edge packaging technologies that enhance brand value for our clients and make a significant impact on people's lives globally. In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the starting salary for this role is $18.50 (plus $1.50/hour shift differential).
