You will work closely with firm leadership, mentoring talented staff, and have the opportunity to experience ownership with some of the most entrepreneurial partners in the field.

What you will do :

  • Lead compliance and consulting services for high-net-worth individuals, multi-generational families, family offices, private businesses, and investment entities.
  • Perform technical reviews of complex individual, partnership, S-corp, trust, estate, gift, and state tax returns.
  • Manage multiple engagements involving proactive tax planning and strategic consulting, including federal, estate, gift, charitable, and generation-skipping taxes.
  • Advise clients on business succession planning.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technical developments, and apply them to complex situations.
  • Manage client engagement staffing, billing, collections, and ensure profitability targets are met.
  • Utilize entrepreneurial skills to network and build relationships internally and externally to acquire new clients and projects.
  • Invest in professional development through firm-wide programs.
  • Support team growth and development following the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy.
  • Participate in social activities and team outings that promote work-life balance.

Successful candidates will have :

  • An undergraduate degree in accounting or law.
  • CPA or JD certification.
  • Leadership experience in a public accounting firm within the tax space.
  • 10+ years of experience in tax planning and consulting for wealthy individuals, families, trusts, investment entities, and private businesses, with expertise in personal, trust, estate, gift, charitable, flow-through entities, partnership, and corporate taxation.
  • 6+ years of supervisory experience mentoring and counseling associates.
  • Ability to lead, supervise, provide exceptional client service, stay current with industry strategies, and demonstrate ethical commitment and a sense of urgency.
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship is highly preferred.
