Technical Delivery Managers (TDMs) are responsible for ensuring customers achieve remarkable business results through technology engagements and driving customer growth through technology expertise, trusted advice, relationships, and demonstrated results. TDMs manage and deliver innovative solutions built on the Appian platform, overseeing all aspects of agile delivery for Appian led engagements, including risk management and impediment removal. They work closely with sales reps to drive growth in strategic accounts and integrated deals. Responsibilities include project management, account management, relationship building, financial management, opportunity qualification, problem identification, project/use case definition, demand generation, services positioning, and account strategy. The role requires collaboration with Appian Sales, Partners, and Customer Success teams. The position is based at Appian's HQ in McLean, VA, with an expectation of in-office presence 5 days a week. Required qualifications include experience managing a book of business with financial tools, leading agile delivery teams, understanding customer strategic goals, value selling, strategic relationship development, and industry experience in Financial Services, Pharmaceuticals, Insurance, or Manufacturing. Basic qualifications include a proven background supporting Intel and/or 4th Estate with an active Government Top Secret Clearance, 5+ years in agile delivery with at least 1 year leading a team, a relevant bachelor's degree, and willingness to travel up to 10% annually.
