Salary : $150,000-$175,000

SD Mayer & Associates is a full-service accounting firm with offices in San Mateo, San Francisco, San Leandro, and Menlo Park. The firm's services include tax preparation, assurance services, outsourced accounting, wealth management, employee retirement planning, and business consulting.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage and coordinate the delivery of U.S. tax services, including review of complex U.S. tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals.
  • Advise clients on complex tax issues, transactions, and structuring.
  • Review tax provisions prepared in accordance with U.S. GAAP (ASC 740).
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop comprehensive solutions for clients, incorporating services beyond accounting and tax.
  • Develop and maintain deep technical knowledge in relevant areas, including U.S. domestic and international tax provisions.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with clients and develop market presence.
  • Implement risk management policies and best practices.
  • Train, manage, mentor, and develop junior tax professionals.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related fields; CPA required.
  • Minimum of 8 years tax experience, preferably in public accounting.
  • Experience with CCH ProSystem FX Tax.
  • At least 3 years supervising and training staff.
  • Proficient in corporate, individual, and partnership taxation; international tax experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience managing multiple client engagements.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Motivated with the ability to manage a large client base.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and adaptability.
