Infectious Disease - Physician - Ann Arbor, MI (Ann Arbor)

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group has a full-time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Infectious Disease physician to join a well-established multi-specialty group practice located in Ann Arbor, Michigan .

The selected candidate will join eight other physicians and one APP in a group practice specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of adult infections. Many providers have expertise in HIV, hepatitis, wound care, global health, TB, antimicrobial stewardship, hospital epidemiology, bone/joint infections, research, and hospital leadership. The group benefits from a robust pharmacy department and a dedicated ID/antimicrobial stewardship pharmacist.

This position is primarily inpatient, with some outpatient clinics, typically one-half day per week. The clinic is equipped with dedicated medical assistants and an HIV/ID nurse. Rounding assistance during the week is provided by an advanced practice professional (APP). Call responsibilities are shared equally among the group, with weekend call at a 1:9 ratio, supported by ID fellows and/or APPs.

The hospital is a tertiary referral center that includes a long-term acute care hospital. Telemedicine consultations are available for St. Joes Livingston and plans are underway to expand in-person coverage there. The facility uses EPIC EMR.

This role offers opportunities for academic involvement and research, including educating medical students, residents, and fellows. The fellowship program hosts 2-3 fellows. Regular educational events include ID Grand Rounds, noon didactic conferences, and microbiology rounds. Many faculty members publish nationally recognized research and hold leadership roles. The group actively participates in hospital committees and hospital leadership.
