QualDerm Partners is excited to announce an opening for a Mohs Surgical Medical Assistant (Float) to join our dynamic team. As a leading provider of dermatologic care, we are dedicated to offering cutting-edge treatments, including Mohs micrographic surgery, to ensure the highest standard of care for our patients. As a float position, you will have the unique opportunity to work across various locations, gaining a broad range of experiences while supporting our skilled dermatology teams. In this role, you will assist surgeons during Mohs procedures, contributing to our mission of providing effective skin cancer treatment in a compassionate environment. Your skills will ensure that the surgical processes operate smoothly, and you will support patient care before, during, and after procedures. Responsibilities Assist with patient intake, including taking vital signs and documenting medical histories. Prepare the surgical suite and maintain the sterile environment during Mohs surgeries. Support the surgeon during procedures, ensuring instruments and supplies are organized and available. Accurately document procedures and patients' responses using electronic health records. Provide thorough post-operative care instructions and support to patients. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective patient communication and care continuity. Flexibility to float between various clinic locations as needed. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program is preferred. Experience in a surgical setting, particularly in dermatology or Mohs surgery, is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology and Mohs surgical procedures is a plus. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-oriented approach. Ability to remain efficient and calm in a fast-paced surgical environment.
