Be the Nurse Supervisor You've Always Aspired to Be Your impactful responsibilities will include: Assisting in the development and execution of individualized patient care programs, policies, and procedures. Serving as a crucial connection between administration, nursing management, and staff. Supervising nursing care, treatment, and services during assigned shifts or specific units. Monitoring and managing staff performance, providing on-the-spot feedback, annual evaluations, and administering necessary counseling. Engaging in direct patient care as needed and developing meaningful relationships with patients to understand their comprehensive needs for successful recovery. Qualifications To be a successful Nurse Supervisor, you will need: Current RN licensure in accordance with state regulations. BLS certification; ACLS certification to be obtained within one year of starting. CRRN certification within a year of meeting eligibility requirements. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related field (preferred). Two years of recent experience in an inpatient hospital setting (within the last five years). Previous experience in a leadership role, such as charge nurse or similar capacity, demonstrating accountability for patient and staff results.
