Position : PeopleSoft Financials Functional Analyst
Client : Government NYS
Location : Hybrid 2 offsite and three days onsite from Albany NY
Duration : One year contract with Extensions
Years of exp . 3 to 7
Interview : Webex Interview

A PeopleSoft Financials Functional Analyst in the Lake Nona Region of Orlando, focusing on version 9.2, would be responsible for supporting the organization's PeopleSoft Financials system. This includes analyzing business requirements, configuring the system, conducting testing, and providing ongoing support to users. The role involves a mix of functional and technical expertise to ensure the system effectively meets business needs and goals.
Key Responsibilities
Requirement Gathering and Analysis:
Eliciting and documenting business requirements from stakeholders, translating them into functional specifications, and ensuring alignment with PeopleSoft capabilities.
System Configuration:
Configuring and customizing PeopleSoft modules to meet business requirements, including setup tables, security, and other relevant settings.
Testing and Troubleshooting:
Developing and executing test plans and scripts, conducting system and user acceptance testing, and troubleshooting issues to ensure the system functions as expected.
Documentation:
Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation, including business process workflows, functional requirements documents, test plans, and user guides.
User Support:
Providing ongoing support and training to end-users, addressing their questions and issues, and ensuring they can effectively utilize the system.
Collaboration:
Working closely with developers, other analysts, and stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation and ongoing support of the PeopleSoft Financials system.
Process Improvement:
Identifying opportunities to improve business processes and system efficiency through the use of PeopleSoft functionality.
Staying Current:
Keeping up-to-date with PeopleSoft updates, patches, and new features, and assessing their impact on the organization's system.
Required Skills And Experience
Strong understanding of PeopleSoft Financials modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Management, and others. Experience with PeopleSoft configuration, including setup tables, security, and other relevant settings. Proficiency in testing methodologies and test script development. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. Ability to analyze and solve complex problems. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus. Knowledge of SQL and PS Query is beneficial. Experience with PeopleSoft upgrades and PUM image applications is desirable.
