Summary
The Associate Director of Retention and Student Success provides strategic leadership and operational oversight of Newcomb-Tulane College and university-wide initiatives aimed at improving Tulanes retention and graduation rates. A core component of this role involves advancing the TU Thrive initiative by developing and assessing targeted interventions, including the design and execution of the Summer Bridge Program. The Associate Director serves as a key campus partner, leading data-informed support systems and coordinating both student-facing and institutional efforts to strengthen matriculation, retention, persistence, and overall student success.
Required Qualifications
Masters Degree in Higher Education or a related field. Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in student support and retention. Proven experience in project leadership and implementation. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Ability to motivate and inspire team members while working collaboratively with unit leaders and managers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to understand, apply, and reference policies and institutional regulations with ease Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams). Experience with case management systems such as Salesforce and data management software such as Power BI. Willingness and availability to work occasional evenings or weekends in support of special events.
