We are seeking a highly skilled and collaborative Team Lead to oversee our PHP-based web development team. This role is ideal for a technically proficient leader who thrives in a structured development environment and values process-driven collaboration. You will work closely with the Lead Developer and Product Owner to guide the team through a well-defined development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality deliverables and strategic alignment. Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Oversight Lead and mentor a team of PHP developers working in a Linux-based environment with Docker containers and MySQL databases. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Process Management Oversee the User Story Discovery phase in collaboration with the Product Owner and Lead Developer. Approve Strategic Technical Scopes authored by the Lead Developer, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical feasibility. Review and approve Tactical Technical Scopes created by developers, ensuring clarity and completeness before development begins. Technical Guidance Provide architectural and design input for PHP applications and services. Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and deployment. Support containerized development and deployment using Docker. Collaboration & Communication Act as a liaison between product, development, and QA teams. Facilitate sprint planning, retrospectives, and technical reviews. Ensure timely and transparent communication across all stakeholders.
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in PHP development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or team lead role. Strong understanding ofMySQL,SQL,Linux environments, andDocker. Proven experience managing structured development processes and approval workflows. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on technical involvement.
