GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Project Engineer is responsible for duties such as shop drawings and submittals, document control, quantity surveys, RFIs, and material and equipment tracking and expediting. This position supports project management in change orders, scheduling, trade scoping, procurement, quality control, and cost accounting. It involves field activities, working closely with the Superintendent on design and constructability coordination, punch lists, warranties, and closeout documentation. The Project Engineer collaborates with Subcontractors and designers regarding constructability details, coordination, and changes. This role is based full-time on the project site. Project Engineer I is an entry-level position, with Project Engineer II handling more advanced duties after successful performance at the I level. Some units may combine these roles into one, requiring the individual to perform duties of both levels and progress to Assistant Project Manager. AEROSPACE, AVIATION, INDUSTRIAL EXPERIENCE - A PLUS!!

Document management and design coordination Submittals and shop drawings Material and equipment expediting and monitoring Change management Quantity surveys, bid scope, and procurement assistance Schedule updates and assistance Project quality control and assurance GENERAL LISTING of JOB DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
This list is not exhaustive and may be modified based on project needs. Review design info and develop scopes of work; assist in contract evaluations and awards. Monitor field construction for compliance; coordinate with subcontractors, Superintendents, and the design team. Maintain all project documents, including drawings, RFIs, and specifications. Manage the submittal process, review, approve, and coordinate all submittals. Handle change orders, evaluate changes, develop contract documents, and maintain change management records. Track material and equipment deliveries, maintain logs. Assemble closeout manuals with warranties, samples, and documentation. Keep all project documentation up to date. Assist in developing and monitoring project schedules, prepare look-ahead schedules. Participate in weekly subcontractor meetings. Monitor equipment rental and costs, review small tools and expendables budgets. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
BS/BA in engineering, architecture, or construction management preferred. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Proficiency with scheduling software (e.g., Procore), MS Word, Excel, and related applications. Physical Requirements
Physical activities such as climbing, lifting, walking, and handling materials. Ability to wear PPE, follow safety policies, and work on-site in various weather conditions. Able to stand and walk for extended periods; lift up to 50 pounds. Equal Employment Opportunity Statement
