Jobs via Dice This role is responsible for the end-to-end management of VMware vSphere infrastructure (vCenter and ESXi 8.0), automation of cloud provisioning using Aria Automation, and evaluation of hybrid cloud solutions such as VMware Cloud on AWS and Azure VMware Solution. The engineer will also provide technical recommendations and cost analysis to support strategic infrastructure decisions. Responsibilities include:
Managing and maintaining VMware vCenter and ESXi 8.0 clusters, including lifecycle operations, patching, and upgrades Configuring and optimizing vSphere features such as DRS, HA, vMotion, and vSAN Performing performance tuning, capacity planning, and root cause analysis Implementing security patching and compliance hardening Designing and managing projects within Aria Automation, including blueprint creation and policy enforcement Automating provisioning workflows and managing service catalogs Collaborating on automation using PowerShell and REST APIs Leading POCs for hybrid cloud solutions, including architecture design and testing Evaluating network and firewall requirements, and workload migration strategies Providing whitepapers and solution briefs Delivering cost models and TCO comparisons, and advising on licensing, scalability, and DR strategies Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in VMware infrastructure Hands-on experience with Aria Automation (vRA 8.x+) Experience with hybrid cloud platforms: VMware Cloud on AWS, Azure VMware Solution Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python) Familiarity with NSX-T, vSAN, and cloud networking (ExpressRoute, TGW) Additional details:
