ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES Participates in the coordination of QC activities leading to clinical and commercial manufacturing. Works with clients and internal project teams to successfully complete projects. Provides technical support to business development activities. Has understanding of cGMP in own area. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare validation protocols and reports. Drive validation activities. Review and approve CoA’s. Keeps abreast of relevant scientific literature and incorporates new insights into work activities. Identifies and introduces relevant emerging concepts. Explores the feasibility of applying new scientific principles/concepts or implements and validates novel experimental approaches and methods. Prepares presentations and presents experimental conclusions at internal team meetings. JOB COMPLEXITY Evaluates multiple factors to solve moderately complex problems. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Plans, designs, implements, and analyzes laboratory execution to advance scientific knowledge and techniques. FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE Understands how to build processes that are robust and understands how they may impact future processes and fit into AGC Biologics’ scientific and business goals. DISCRETION Impacts work of the team and other related teams. Works within broad guidelines and policies. INTERACTION Keeps colleagues apprised of projects and status independently and appropriately. SUPERVISION May receive general guidance on day-to-day work and instructions on new assignments. TECHNICAL & LEADERSHIP SKILLS Demonstrates technical proficiency and scientific creativity within discipline. Begins to play a hand in professional development of others; may give direction to or help associate scientists with job duties and general departmental operations. Works closely with manager and receives guidance on how to effectively deliver results. Anticipates future needs based on prior experiences. Clearly communicates within the team. Begins to communicate outside of team. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE BS/BA and 10+ years of experience, MS/MA and 2+ years of experience, or PhD or equivalent and 0-2+ years of experience, may include postdoc experience. Equivalent education and experience may substitute for stated requirements. COMPENSATION RANGE $94,000 - $129,250 annually Fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges. Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience levels, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Benefits available to Team Members include subsidized insurance for the Team Member and designated dependents (medical, vision, dental, life and disability), eligibility to participate in the AGC Biologics 401(k) plan (including a generous matching contribution from the company and immediate vesting), vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Team Members are also eligible to receive a discretionary annual bonus commensurate to the level of the role. The payout is based on both the company’s performance and the Team Member’s performance.
