We are looking for an
Engineering Manager
to lead and expand a high preforming utility-focused project delivery team. This is a high-impact leadership role overseeing a team of Project Managers, with a focus on supporting key client relationships, enhancing operational performance, and driving business development within the utility space. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining and growing client accounts, while simultaneously ensuring technical excellence across multiple engineering departments. Key Responsibilities: Lead client-focused business development strategies and execution plans Oversee technical and project delivery activities across utility programs, including budgeting, planning, and resource management Provide high-level review of deliverables to ensure alignment with industry standards, company procedures, and client expectations Manage multiple engineering teams and client relationships concurrently Represent the company in high-level client interactions, such as KPI reviews, departmental meetings, and executive sessions Mentor and support Project Managers, promoting professional growth and team collaboration Drive recruitment, performance evaluations, and personnel decisions for assigned departments Implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, productivity, and service quality Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement Prioritize competing demands effectively in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required; advanced degree preferred 5+ years in a senior project management role 7+ years of engineering department leadership Proven experience working with utility clients Strong background in mentoring and developing high-performing teams Demonstrated ability to manage both technical and business operations Excellent communication, critical thinking, and analytical problem-solving skills Confident, collaborative, and open-minded leadership style Willingness to travel locally as required Seniority level
