TIG Welder

We are seeking a skilled welder with strong fabrication skills, particularly in TIG welding. You will be working with stainless steel 304, 310, and 330, known for their heat resistance. The position involves building the body of units using tools such as a torch, bandsaw, and grinder, focusing on 25" tubing dimensions.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain basic power tools, including grinders, drills, saws, magnet drills, band saws, and forklifts safely and efficiently.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Use a T-square and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and alignment of fabricated components.
  • Identify and correct errors or inefficiencies in work processes, ensuring high-quality output.
  • Collaborate with management to prioritize tasks and address any production challenges.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in structural welding, including TIG, MIG, and stick welding techniques.
  • Experience with stainless steel and carbon steel.
  • Ability to perform pipe welding in 5G and 6G positions.
  • Skilled in the use of band saws and power tools.
  • Blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to perform MIG welding with clean, strong welds on various materials and thicknesses.
  • Experience with heavy industrial projects.
  • Certified or experienced in operating forklifts.
  • Project facilitation skills, including planning, organizing, and executing fabrication projects.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective time management to maintain project schedules.
  • Clear communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safety practices in the workplace.

Work Environment

Work in a typical manufacturing garage shop, which is large and spacious, allowing for the completion of tasks efficiently. Expect some noise from power tools, and collaborate with a team of about six other workers. The environment is designed to facilitate projects, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Corona, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
