**Job Title: Cardiac Cath/EP Lab Nurse**
**Job Location: Richmond, VA**
**Shift: 07:00 - 17:30**
**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiac Cath/EP Lab Nurse to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of critical care experience and specific expertise in a cardiac cath lab or electrophysiology (EP) lab setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating during various cardiac procedures.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Collaborate with a team of 3-4 members to provide optimal patient care in a cardiac cath and EP lab environment.
- Perform and assist with procedures including right-sided and left-sided ablations, PM implants, ICD implants, BIVICD implants, BIVPM implants, laser lead extractions, CCM implants, and left atrial appendage closure devices (Watchman, Amulet).
- Ensure the safety and comfort of patients undergoing procedures by maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
- Operate and maintain specialized imaging equipment (PHILIPS EP and GE Cath Lab systems) effectively.
- Document patient information accurately using MacLab/Cardiolab and Meditech systems.
- Adhere to unit-specific policies and guidelines, ensuring a high standard of care.
**Qualifications:**
- Current RN license with a minimum of 2 years of critical care nursing experience.
- Experience in a cardiac cath lab or EP lab is required.
- Certifications such as RCES (Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist) or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) are preferred.
- Strong skills in scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating cardiac procedures.
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
**Unit Information:**
- The unit consists of 4 EP labs and 3 cardiac cath labs with a patient ratio of 1 procedural patient per room.
- Team members include RNs and cardiovascular specialists (RCES/RCIS).
- Flexible scheduling: pencil schedule due to coordinators, with no floating policy.
**Dress Code:**
- Hospital-issued scrubs are required.
