About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team in the Cath Lab/EP department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of cardiovascular procedures, including coronary diagnostic and intervention services. You will work closely with our interventional cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
Overview
As a Tech - Cath Lab/EP, you will be responsible for preparing patients for procedures, operating imaging equipment, and interpreting diagnostic images. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols, and communicating effectively with patients and healthcare teams. Our ideal candidate is a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist in a Cath Lab/EP setting
- Proficient in coronary diagnostic and intervention scrub and monitor
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Radiation Badge (ARRT or RCIS) and SC license (SCRQSA)
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with EPIC charting system
- Knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures
- Experience with fluoroscopy and angiography equipment
- Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Preferred Education and Experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cardiovascular Technology or related field
- 2+ years of experience in a Cath Lab/EP setting
Other Requirements
- Must have a valid SC license (SCRQSA) and be eligible for a radiation badge
- Must be able to pass a background check and obtain necessary certifications
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Must be able to travel within a 60-mile radius (local assignments only)
