**Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist**
**Shift:** 10-Hour Days, Monday to Friday, 4-10s (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
**Call Requirements:** 1-2 shifts per week plus every 3rd-4th weekend
**Job Description:**
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality radiologic care in both vascular and neuro interventions. This role requires a commitment to patient safety and comfort, adherence to sterile techniques, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data.
2. Observe strict sterile techniques when preparing and assembling supplies for procedures.
3. Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold unit policies.
4. Prepare entry sites for procedures using sterile methods.
5. Continuously monitor patients’ ECG and blood pressure, documenting and communicating vital information to the physician.
6. Participate in an on-call rotation, being available for emergent procedures 24/7.
7. Assist in resuscitative measures and the use of cardiac defibrillators under physician supervision.
8. Document all procedures accurately and manage inventory systems accordingly.
9. Engage in educational and in-service opportunities to enhance skill sets.
10. Instruct radiography students on various techniques and equipment utilization.
11. Maintain specialization in neuroradiology and vascular interventional radiology procedures.
12. Conduct inventory management within the department.
13. Prepare and check patients prior to procedures.
14. Participate in performance improvement initiatives.
**Qualifications:**
- **Required Certifications:** ARRT (Registered Radiologic Technologist), BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification preferred.
- Experience in neuro procedures, including cerebral coiling, Kyphoplasty, spine work, stroke therapy, and carotid stenting is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of patient care protocols and safety regulations.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
**Work Setting:** Acute care environment with possible holiday call requirements.
**Technology:** Experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) system is a plus.
