Senior QA Engineer (Backend/API) with AI-related experience
to join an AI-driven product team on a contract basis. Youll play a key role in making sure everything works like it should from validating complex API responses to ensuring the dialogue logic of our AI systems makes actual sense. This role is for someone whos meticulous, curious, and confident navigating backend systems, APIs, and weird edge cases most people overlook.
Your responsibilities will include: Test APIs, backend logic, and system flows; Validate AI-driven outputs and ensure business rules are implemented correctly; Build and maintain comprehensive test cases (including edge cases and regressions); Work closely with devs and AI teams to understand expected behaviors and system architecture; Use Postman (or your tool of choice) like a pro; Expand automated test coverage and streamline QA workflows. What we expect from you: 5+ years of QA experience backend/API testing in particular; EXPERIENCE WITH AI-RELATED PROJECTS; Advanced knowledge of API testing tools like Postman, Swagger, or REST Assured; Strong analytical skills and debugging experience; Confident working with JSON, XML, and complex data structures; Great communication skills in English both verbal and written; Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to spot inconsistencies at scale; Experience with automated API testing (Postman Tests, Newman, Pytest, etc.); Familiarity with AI dialogue tools like ChatGPT, Rasa, or Dialogflow; Git, CI/CD, and modern dev team workflows. near Portugal time
