At General Atomics Integrated Intelligence, Inc. (GA-i3), we are redefining situational awareness for the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, and commercial sectors. Our innovative platformssuch as Optix, Thresher and Dragonspellprocess petabytes of streaming data in near real time, applying advanced algorithms and machine learning to deliver actionable intelligence. Our browser-based applications empower users to visualize, analyze, and understand complex environments across land, sea, and air.
As a Senior Frontend Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our situational awareness capabilities. You will work as part of a talented team to develop and deploy enterprise-level applications that transform raw data into meaningful insights. Your expertise will guide the design and implementation of intuitive, high-performance user interfaces that meet the needs of our diverse user base.
Duties And Responsibilites
Software Development: Lead the design, development, and deployment of frontend applications, ensuring they meet user requirements and adhere to best practices. Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with UX/UI designers, data scientists, and downstream solution teams to deliver cohesive and effective solutions. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the evolution of our development processes, tools, and technologies to enhance efficiency and product quality. Agile Practices: Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Job Qualifications
Typically requires a bachelors degree or masters degree in computer science, information systems or related discipline with progressive software development experience as follows; six or more years of experience with a bachelors degree, or four or more years of experience with a masters degree. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education Experience: 6+ years of professional experience in frontend software development. Technical Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, AngularJS, Vue.js). Strong understanding of TypeScript, CSS3, and HTML5. Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Vuex). Knowledge of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins). Security Clearance: U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and willingness to undergo a CI polygraph. Preferred Skills and Experience
Data Visualization: Familiarity with data visualization libraries (e.g., D3.js, amCharts). Geospatial Tools: Experience with map-based applications using OpenLayers, Leaflet, or Google Maps. Cloud Technologies: Experience with AWS-hosted environments, Docker containerization, and Kubernetes. Additional Skills: Experience with CSS preprocessors (e.g., SASS, LESS). Knowledge of RESTful APIs. Familiarity with Storybook to write reusable components for design systems. Comfortable working with Linux systems.
