Job Overview As we scale our insurance platform, we are establishing a modern, extensible architecture powered by Guidewire Cloud and supported by a carefully chosen stack of best-in-class tools. The Solutions Architect will play a critical role in leading technical design, integration architecture, and system scalability within the Guidewire ecosystem. This role will work within our Insurtech Practice, architecting complex workflows within our core insurance system Guidewire (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter) and with external platforms like SmartCOMM, One Inc, Verisk, DocuSign, TransUnion, Dialpad, and others. This role requires deep technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and a strategic vision for how modern architecture supports more innovative insurance solutions. The Solutions Architect will report to the Chief Customer Officer. Essential Functions Design scalable, secure, and future-ready solutions across Guidewire modules and integrated third-party systems Define APIs, message structures, and data contracts between platforms (internal and external) Drive implementation planning, working with dev teams to deliver robust and monitored integrations Guide selection and design of cloud- services to support insurance operations Ensure all architecture aligns with compliance, data privacy, and business continuity goals Mentor technical staff, contribute to best practices, and champion reusability and modularity Duties may evolve based on business needs, and additional tasks may be assigned. Qualifications 6+ years in software architecture, with 3+ years in insurance systems Strong knowledge of Guidewire Insurance Suite and its data & integration models Proven experience leading integrations with payment, comms, data, and document platforms Excellent communicator across technical and non-technical stakeholders Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC2, CCPA, NAIC, ISO) Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Tech Stack Core Platforms: Guidewire Cloud (PC, BC, CC), SmartCOMM Integrations: REST APIs, JSON/XML, API Gateways, Lambda Vendor Systems: One Inc, TransUnion, Verisk, Solera, DocuSign, Dialpad and others Data Layer: Snowflake, Redshift, Parquet, Glue, S3 and more Tools: Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub, Confluence, Postman and more. Desired Qualifications Experience with Guidewire Digital / Edge APIs / Jutro Prior role in fast scaling insurtech or MGA environment Exposure to AI/ML concepts in claims automation or pricing. Office Location Torrance, CA - Hybrid (Tuesday and Thursday in office). Compensation For California based hires, the annual salary range is $140,000 - $165,000 depending on experience FLSA Job Status is Exempt.
