Polymer Scientist - product development, materials, coatings

Job Description InnoTECH Staffing is seeking a full-time, permanent Polymer Scientist for a rapidly growing, well-funded company specializing in materials and hydrophobic coatings (organic/polymers) in the Boston area. This role focuses on developing new platform technologies (organic/polymers) for environmental protection and implementing solutions for our customers. Additional language skills in Mandarin, German, or Spanish are a plus but not required. Responsibilities include: Developing functional materials, test methods, and implementation solutions for environmental protection in electric vehicles, ADAS systems, and consumer electronics. Managing project plans, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful product launches. Communicating technical advances and project strategies within a global team, including technical staff and sales. Working independently on open-ended projects, from coating development to creating novel application techniques. Expanding the company's intellectual property portfolio through innovation in coatings and application technology. Serving as a subject matter expert on coatings under development and aiding in strategy development for customer implementation. Collaborating with sales, technical services, manufacturing, and operations on new product launches. Mentoring technicians and co-ops in experiment execution for coating development. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US. International and domestic travel are required. Education: M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields. Industry or research experience in coating development is preferred. This position offers a salary up to $125K base, plus bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
