Compensation: Salary:

$1,800 to $2,000 per week Per Diem:

$50 per day deposited with payroll

Job Summary: The Wardrobe, Hair & Makeup Supervisor

is responsible for the successful implementation, maintenance, and daily operation of all wardrobe, wig, hair, and makeup needs for the production. This position will supervise local crews of 5 to 7 people in each city, maintain the visual and structural integrity of costumes and wigs, assist performers with quick changes, and ensure consistent show aesthetics throughout the tour. The role requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills, and an ability to live and work in close quarters with fellow touring staff. - Attend all scheduled shop prep days and participate in labeling, organizing, and packing all wardrobe and wig items. - Work with the Production Manager and other department heads to ensure all road cases are safely packed and inventoried. - Prepare and maintain detailed wardrobe and wig inventory lists. - Assist in fitting cast members and documenting costume notes during pre-production. - Coordinate with the costume shop regarding any alterations, replacements, or shipping needs prior to tour launch. - Participate with load-in including the truck pack on a nightly basis ensuring all wardrobe and wig items are secured safely and clearly labeled including the last tour date. Key Responsibilities: Truck Pack and Prep: - Lead and manage all aspects of wardrobe, hair, and makeup for the production. - Maintain costumes, wigs, facial hair, and makeup in show-ready condition. - Execute and maintain wig styling and upkeep throughout the tour. - Oversee all pre-show preparations, including steaming, pressing, presetting, wig checks, and actor prep. - Train and supervise local wardrobe, hair, and makeup crews in each city. - Oversee all quick changes and assist with quick rigs, presets, and costume tracking. - Document and update costume and wig tracking paperwork and maintenance logs. - Collaborate with the Production Stage Manager and Company Manager on daily scheduling and notes. - Manage costume repairs on the road; communicate with costume shop as needed for support. - Order or coordinate supplies (makeup, undergarments, accessories) as needed and track expenses. - Load in and load out costumes and wigs in every venue; oversee packing and care of all wardrobe road boxes. - Maintain backstage dressing areas in a clean, safe, and organized manner. - Provide support to cast and crew regarding personal grooming in line with the visual needs of the show. - Maintain the artistic standards and vision as originally designed by the costume and hair/makeup teams. Qualifications: - Prior touring experience or extensive regional theater experience in a similar role. - Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with a positive attitude. - Proficiency in wig prep and styling (including period and character wigs). - Strong costume construction, hand sewing, and machine repair skills. - Experience with quick changes and running deck tracks. - Excellent organizational and communication skills. Proficiency with Dropbox, Word, Excel, Google Docs & Google Drive. - Experience with Master Tour for daily schedule coordination. - Proficiency in wardrobe maintenance paperwork and digital tracking tools. - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work long days during load-in/load-out. - Valid License. Additional Requirements: - Drug-Free Workplace: Adherence to a strict drug-free policy is mandatory. - Living Arrangements: Share a tour bus with team members maintaining a clean organized space. - Dress Code: Present a professional appearance in show blacks and closed-toe shoes during all workdays and performances.
