Manager, Business Development Executive - Retail & Consumer Goods Industry Open to candidates based anywhere in the United States, with a high priority for those in the Northeast region. Avanade is seeking Business Development Executives at the Manager level who are deal hunters, deal makers, originators, and self-starters capable of developing and winning new business in a complex consulting environment with sophisticated technology solutions. This role requires experience in net new sales, selling digital transformation and consulting services (e.g., cloud implementation, business applications integration) to enterprise clients in the Retail & Consumer Goods sector. Proven ability to sell across multiple Microsoft solution areas (Apps & Infra, Modern Workplace, Biz Apps, Data & AI). Experience selling enterprise-scale consulting and implementation engagements, possibly involving global delivery. Strong networking skills and ability to garner warm referrals. Deep existing Microsoft relationships in the Retail & Consumer Goods organization are highly preferred. Industry-specific knowledge and experience in Retail & Consumer Goods. Ability to quickly identify and implement effective solutions to remove obstacles. Successful track record as a business development hunter capable of closing deals and assisting prospects in decision-making. Ability to act as a trusted advisor addressing client business needs. Experience driving solutions sales at the C-suite level. Characteristics for Success:

Leadership, deal hunting, and deal origination experience within the Retail and Consumer Products industry. Ownership mindset and ability to inspire others. Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship-building capabilities. Proactive in anticipating and neutralizing obstacles and objections. Skilled in influencing internal and external resources. Ability to prospect and generate relationships with decision-makers, creating opportunities within a territory of approximately 20-25 enterprise accounts. Ability to lead industry-specific discussions with C-suite executives. Building relationships with Microsoft and alliance partners for co-selling solutions. Responsibility for identifying high-potential transformation deals and managing entire sales cycles. Driving new revenue through prospecting, acquiring, and developing business with direct clients. Collaborating with partners to generate new business. Building a growth pipeline, including statements of work and contracts. Developing an industry network to gain referrals and establish trusted relationships. Maintaining current knowledge of market conditions, offerings, and service penetration.
