Role Overview As Vice President of Fund Accounting, you will lead the accounting, reporting, and operational functions for your assigned portfolio. You will set strategic direction for the team, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, and drive process excellence across all activities.
Strategic Leadership
Lead and develop the Fund Accounting team, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
Oversee all close activities, including preparation of income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and related disclosures.
Direct the execution of annual audits, ensuring alignment and coordination across stakeholders.
Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
Manage department resources, priorities, and deliverables to meet organizational objectives.
Financial Stewardship
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of client deliverables, reports, and reconciliations.
Review and approve key financial outputs, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Oversee cash management and related operational functions for assigned entities.
Maintain and communicate clear accounting policies, procedures, and controls.
Qualifications
Strong 5-8+ years of fund management and/or real estate experience Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting or finance required; CPA or MBA a plus Hands-on audit experience is required Customer service mindset Strong organizational, analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate at all levels regarding financial information, investor reporting, and cash management Displayed comprehensive technical and functional understanding of GAAP/IFRS accounting guidance Extraordinary attention to detail even under tight deadlines and multiple assignments Demonstrated consistency in values, principles, and work ethic Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
