Role Overview: This role involves delivering and collecting patient menus and meal trays for assigned floors. Responsibilities include ensuring patients receive appropriate trays, enteral feedings, nourishments, and snacks within specified times, maintaining nourishments and supplies in the nursing unit pantry, providing room service information, and acting as a liaison with Clinical Dietitians and Nursing staff. Key Qualifications: Generate and print all necessary reports. Use meal service and tracking sheets to ensure each patient has a menu, verifying details like name, room number, ID, and diet order against the unit round sheet/exception file. Correct any discrepancies or missing information. Identify patients who have not received menus and distribute them timely. Assess appropriate meal ordering systems based on patient needs. Assist patients with menu selections and offer substitutions if needed. Contact patients who did not order meals and identify reasons for missed meals, intervening as per departmental procedures. Distribute and collect meal trays, nourishments, and snacks within established timeframes. Respond promptly to requests and questions, ensuring clear communication and providing information to clarify issues and reduce anxiety. Handle special requests or additional items immediately and refer to appropriate staff when necessary. Additional Qualifications: Excellent customer service skills. Minimum 1-2 years of hospitality experience in a hotel or food & beverage setting. Core Skills: Ability to read, write, and understand instructions. Additional Information: Location: 1275 York Ave (Main Campus). Full-time, 37.5 hours/week, 5 days/week, including 3 weekends per month. Department hours: 6AM - 9AM. Report to: Manager, Patient Experience Food & Nutrition Services. Pay Range: $22.42 - $28.77. FSLA Status: Non-Exempt.
