Agile Project Manager – IT Project Management Support
Our client is seeking an experienced Agile Project Manager (APM) to support the IT Office of a museum in delivering approximately 15–20 projects annually. This role will lead planning, coordination, and execution of initiatives using Agile methodologies, collaborating with product owners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to achieve high-quality results aligned with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
Lead Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, backlog grooming) and ensure consistent delivery. Translate business goals and user needs into actionable backlogs; refine and prioritize items for strategic alignment. Track progress using Agile tools; provide transparent reporting on project metrics and milestones. Identify and resolve impediments; escalate and coordinate resolution of risks and dependencies. Coach and mentor teams in Agile principles, Scrum/Kanban practices, and related tools. Foster autonomy, accountability, and self-organization within teams. Participate in requirements definition, design, integration, and testing. Serve as a primary customer interface for IT projects, guiding stakeholders through project scoping and review processes. Support technical briefings, internal communications, and documentation of business/technical requirements.
Qualifications
Proven experience in Agile project management within IT environments. Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills. Proficiency with Agile tools (e.g., Trello, Jira) and project tracking metrics. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
