We’re a welcoming, resilient team of 20 physicians and 10 advanced practitioners who work closely with other hospital staff and departments at Frederick Memorial to deliver the best possible quality of care to our patients. We have diverse clinicians from various geographic, educational, and training backgrounds, all of whom possess strong clinical acumen and an unwavering commitment to exceptional patient care. Within work hours, we’re a dedicated and hardworking group; outside work, we foster strong interpersonal connections by spending quality time together. We have created an environment conducive to flexibility and innovation for experienced clinicians. Frederick Memorial Hospital values its clinical staff by offering free parking and a comfortable lounge area for socializing with fellow hospital providers and enjoying meals. We provide full subspecialty support. Our clinical performance nurses assist you in obtaining up-to-date metrics to support the team’s goals Sound’s teams also cover the Critical Care Unit and Emergency Room.
Qualifications
ABIM or ABFM certified with significant prior hospitalist Director experience Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Practice in the Heart of the Community
Flexible Scheduling
Monday – Friday with the ability to work 5 clinical shifts/month
Key Responsibilities
Lead efforts in utilization management, compliance, and clinical documentation improvement at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Collaborate with hospital administration to identify and implement performance improvement initiatives such as length of stay, readmissions, and regulatory compliance. Participate in monthly hospitalist team meetings and provide ongoing education and support to our clinicians. We work in Meditech Expanse, a web-based system with access to our internal informatics platform.

Rewards And Benefits
Compensation: The base salary is $350,000, which includes 5-day shifts per month, along with opportunities for bonuses based on performance and growth. Additional compensation is paid for shifts worked above full-time commitment. Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D insurance. Long-term and short-term disability coverage. 401 (k) plan with matching contributions. Paid medical malpractice insurance with tail coverage. Annual CME allowance to support professional development. 3 weeks of PTO We emphasize growth and development as a central feature of Sound practices. Teammates can expand their careers locally and within the broader medical group.
