Job Responsibilities

Design, develop, analyze, test, and debug computer software applications and systems, including areas like Image and Signal Processing, Real-time, Firmware, Nuclear/Hi-Rel, FAA Certified, Database Design, Operating Systems, Operator/Machine Interface, or others. Develop software tools such as operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools. Determine hardware compatibility, complete documentation, and interact with users to define system requirements and modifications. Lead a team of engineers on technical activities, ensuring completion on time and within budget. Design, develop, document, and support testing of products, systems, or subsystems. Use computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis software as needed. Review customer specifications, develop designs supporting them, considering cost as a key variable. Provide budget, cost, and schedule input for design projects. Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems, and services. Drive program design to meet cost and manufacturing requirements. Develop prototypes to mitigate development risks. Communicate effectively with team members and customers. Participate in proposal preparations. Provide technical support and knowledge to engineers and support staff. Lead and manage the work of others as assigned. Support and uphold the organization's mission, values, and culture. Attend engineering, customer, or business meetings. Mentor less-experienced engineers. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field with at least 5 years of experience. Proficiency in relevant technologies and application domains. Ability to independently lead a technical team. U.S. Citizenship is required. An active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain one is necessary.
