The position is responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing local and wide area networks. Assist senior staff in troubleshooting and maintaining data integrity and security. The engineer will analyze and resolve network hardware, software problems, and incidents escalated from the service desk. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Primary: Provide support in day-to-day network hardware and OS operations, including system utilization evaluation, response time monitoring, and operational problem detection and correction. Administer and configure all network equipment, including firewalls, switches, and wireless access points. Participate in planning, design, technical review, and implementation of new network infrastructure hardware and operating systems for voice and data communication networks. Design solutions with other teams to support new or updated technologies. Monitor Azure and data center for network outages and performance issues. Perform routine adds, moves, or changes to voice and data networks. Analyze and resolve network hardware and software issues escalated from the service desk. Perform other duties as assigned. Secondary: Install servers, software, and other devices on the LAN, ensuring documentation for future reference. Maintain Storage Area Network (SAN), servers (Azure, physical, virtual). Perform daily backups and manage media according to the disaster recovery plan. Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required

2-4 years experience with network engineering principles including TCP/IP, DNS, SNMP, WAN, VLANs, LAN switching, and routing. Experience in LAN, WAN, security design, configuration, and administration including firewall and VPN technologies. 3-5 years experience with system administration, VMware, Microsoft Active Directory, and server hardware and architecture. Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and storage area networks. Experience managing SQL Server and SQL Reporting Services. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Service-oriented, independent, innovative, organized, and passionate about latest technologies. On-call availability, with occasional evening and weekend work. Educational Requirements

BS Degree in IT/Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Industry networking certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCSP, VCP, MCSE preferred. Additional Responsibilities
