Physician - Primary Care
This position will be based out of our Hoak Medical Center in Anderson, IN
Aspire Indiana Health is a nonprofit provider of comprehensive “whole health” services including primary medical care, behavioral health, recovery services and programs addressing the social drivers of health such as housing and employment. Aspire has health centers in four Central Indiana counties serving Hoosiers of all ages and walks of life.
Position Summary
This position will provide quality integrated primary health care services and medication management to patients at Aspire Indiana Health in an outpatient setting, and will perform as an independent and interdependent member of the medical services team providing integrated general medical and behavioral health care to Aspire clients, which may include children, adolescents, adults, and elderly clients in need of services as assigned by the Medical Director. This position will also serve as a collaborator for APN's and Physician Assistant's.
Education and Experience
Medical degree from a college/university accredited by the US Department of Education required
One (1) year experience in primary care with underserved communities preferred
License/Certification
Must be recognized as a Medical Doctor (MD) or a DO with Prescriptive Authority by the State of Indiana
Must have current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certificate and State of Indiana Controlled Substance Registration (CSR)
Prefer credentialing / board certification in field of expertise
Must have current BLS certification

Meet all clinical obligations of the Center’s medical practice, including CLIA, HIPAA, Medical State and Federal regulations
Ensure compliance with state licensure laws, state medication administration laws, etc.
Ability to properly code medical encounters
Have the ability to empathize and be compassionate to patient needs
Demonstrate respect for patient confidentiality practices
Demonstrate the ability to provide patient-centered care utilizing clinical best practice guidelines
Must be knowledgeable of social service systems (Medicaid, Social Security, etc.), community resources, legal systems, school systems and child welfare systems
Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting
Must be able to demonstrate the effective use of Aspire’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) and other technologies supporting quality patient care and disease management as it relates to clinical documentation
