Emergency Medicine Physician - Locum Opportunity in Dickinson, ND
Join a dedicated and dynamic healthcare team at a critical access hospital in Dickinson, North Dakota. This facility offers ongoing coverage in the Emergency Medicine department, providing support with employed Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). The current schedule requires two providers per 24-hour period, working a mix of 12-hour shifts. The hospital environment is well-equipped and structured to offer a big hospital experience with ample support resources.
Job Responsibilities:- Provide emergency medicine coverage in a fast-paced environment.
- Engage with an average of 1.5 patients per hour.
- Collaborate with mid-level assistance for 12 hours during peak hours.
- Utilize Meditech EMR for patient documentation.
- Perform a variety of procedures, including intubations, chest tubes, central lines, and critical care management.
- Manage adult and pediatric resuscitation cases effectively.
- Adhere to state regulations, including maintaining ATLS certification.
- Complete credentialing processes efficiently, with potential for temporary privileges.
- Travel arrangements, including flight, hotel, and rental car logistics, will be facilitated.
- Board Certification in Emergency Medicine (ABEM Required).
- Active North Dakota license or IMLC preferred.
- Recent experience with a minimum of 250 case logs in the last year.
- Proficiency in various emergency procedures and comfortable treating patients of all ages.
- PALS, ATLS, ACLS certifications required.
- DEA Registration is mandatory.
