Job responsibilities
- Guide the evaluation of current cybersecurity principles, processes, and controls, and lead the evaluation of new technology using existing standards and frameworks.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the business, technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and senior leaders to recommend business modifications during periods of vulnerability.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in one or more focus areas across the organization.
- Contribute to the engineering community by advocating for firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices within the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Influence peers and project decision-makers to adopt and apply leading-edge technologies.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience delivering enterprise-level cybersecurity solutions and controls.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages or applications.
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity architecture, applications, and technical processes, with expertise in areas such as public cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile technologies.
- Ability to independently address design and functionality problems with minimal oversight.
- Practical experience with cloud-native development.
- Skill in evaluating current and emerging technologies to recommend optimal solutions for future architecture.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience working with AI models and managing complex distributed data sets.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing security controls for cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with security assessment tools, vulnerability scanners, and penetration testing methodologies.
- Experience in finance or highly regulated industries, with knowledge of GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC 2. Relevant certifications such as CISSP or CISM are a plus.
- Knowledge of security incident response and forensic investigation techniques is advantageous.
- Ability to engage stakeholders, set strategy, prioritize, and deliver according to a roadmap aligned with business needs.
