The Director – IT Billing Systems is responsible for the selection, implementation, and support of all billing and coding technologies at Stanford Health Care (SHC).
This role oversees the full software life-cycle and application portfolio management related to SHC's core software platforms and ancillary systems.

What you will do
- Implement and maintain system functionality for enterprise operations
- Maintain knowledge of current and future capabilities of SHC's core platforms
- Advise leaders on system status and functions
- Develop roadmaps and long-range plans for systems
- Prepare project sizing and estimates
- Lead lifecycle management including selection, implementation, and upgrades
- Improve organizational methods and processes
- Guide requirements gathering and solution design
- Negotiate conflicting requirements across departments
- Set performance objectives and provide feedback
- Manage staff performance, hiring, and corrective actions
- Oversee delivery and SLAs for billing applications
- Develop and publish team performance metrics
- Collaborate with management on IT strategies
- Ensure communication with clinical and business leaders
- Support portfolio budgeting and trend forecasting
- Maintain understanding of healthcare technology applications
- Prepare analyses and proposals for departments
- Serve as an internal consultant
- Coach and mentor staff
- Provide application support, including 24/7 on-call coverage
- Align technology strategy with business goals
- Manage governance and portfolio of applications
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Experience Qualifications
- At least 10 years of relevant experience

- Understanding of healthcare operational goals and technology project management
- Leadership in integrating IT services
- Knowledge of IT disciplines and project management
- Understanding of healthcare provider operations and regulations
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
