Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Sr. Accountant to join our accounting team. This role is responsible for supporting the financial health of the company by ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, analyzing financial data, and supporting various accounting functions. The ideal candidate will be experienced in complex calculations (revenue recognition, reserves, commissions), month-end close procedures, and general accounting duties. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of financial records and supporting the broader finance function. This role will report directly to the Assistant Controller and work primarily with the finance and sales departments. Responsibilities

Assist with the monthly close process including posting journal entries and reconciling accounts that may include the following: prepaid assets (maintain subledgers and record amortization), fixed assets (maintain subledgers and record depreciation), inventory reserves, expense accruals, revenue recognition (record ASC 606 adjustments), commissions, and other various adjustments. Assist the Assistant Controller and Corporate Controller with managing outsourced functions, including external auditors, to timelines and quality standards. Assist with managing FloQast (account reconciliation tool) by adding all supporting schedules and completing all assigned balance sheet reconciliations timely and by close deadlines. Assist with calculating ASC 606 adjustments for bundled and multiple-element revenue transactions on a monthly basis (as part of close process). Accurately calculate monthly and quarterly commissions under multiple compensation plans. Administer plans and ensure timely review by plan participants and managers in order to meet payroll deadlines. Ensure timely processing and collaborate with sales and payroll teams to address any discrepancies. Assist the Assistant Controller and Corporate Controller in completing the annual financial statement audit and issuance of timely financial statements and determine ways to optimize the existing processes to speed time to close with ever-improving accuracy. Review the general ledger and supporting schedules to ensure adherence to accounting policies and proper classification of transactions. Provide backup support for accounts payable to ensure continuity of operations during absences or peak periods. Assist the Assistant Controller and Corporate Controller with ad hoc financial projects, audits, internal controls, and system improvements. Assist and help manage compliance with tax regulations and business registrations. Identify opportunities for process and systems improvements in financial operations and reporting. Demonstrate flexibility to take on various responsibilities and tasks as the needs of the department evolve. Other duties as assigned Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred) 35 years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on general ledger functions including revenue recognition (ASC 606) and month-end close processes Public Accounting or SaaS related experience preferred (intermediate knowledge of SaaS metrics) Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas) Experience with accounting software systems (e.g., Sage Intacct, RAMP, Avalara, Salesforce, etc.) Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Effective communication and interpersonal skills This is a full-time remote position located in the US; however, it is preferred that the individual work in one of our offices. Company offices are located in St. George, Utah; Indianapolis, Indiana; and Denver, Colorado. Employees hired within a designated radius of the office are expected to work on-site according to a schedule set by management based on the requirements of their role. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $80,000-$90,000. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
