The Assistant Director Of Financial Analysis And Operations assists the Deputy Chief Financial Officer in preparing, monitoring, and reporting the Law Centers annual operating, endowment, special funds, and capital budgets. This position assists in analysis and projections relating to Law Center finances for the Deputy CFO, the Chief Operating Officer (CFO), and other Law Center constituents. Providing monthly monitoring of Law campus and department operating performance, additional duties include, but are not limited to: Produce regular reports on operating results and provide guidance to Law Center leadership on proper financial tracking. Perform complex financial analyses as necessary on various components of the Law Center operating, endowment, special funds, and capital budgets to support the Law Center Deputy CFO, the CFO, and other members of the senior management team. Assist with the processing of financial transactions through the University Financial Systems and is knowledgeable of all established financial policies and procedures for the Law Center and the University. Perform other responsibilities as directed by the Deputy CFO, including but not limited to, Conflict of Interest and IRB Reviews, GMS/Adaptive Role Requests, GU-Pass, and GMS Delegations. The Assistant Director Of Financial Analysis And Operations position reports to the Deputy CFO who reports to the Law Centers Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The Assistant Director will also interact with all levels of the Law Center Community (faculty, staff, and students) as well as with financial and budget officers throughout the University. The incumbent will also participate in meetings with senior members of the Law Center leadership team. The individual will interact with all levels of the Law Center staff (Faculty, staff, and students) as well as individuals from other campuses and University Services. Requirements and qualifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required; A masters degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, Data Analytics is preferred 7+ years of professional experience in performing complex financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting Knowledge of principles and practices of fund accounting and budgeting Strong working knowledge and experience in MS Excel (pivot tables), Word, and PowerPoint Preferred qualifications: Experience in a higher educational institution is strongly preferred Experience with Adaptive Insights and Workday is strongly preferred CPA certification is preferred Demonstrated accounting background can substitute for CPA Knowledge of database management is preferred but is not required Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills are strongly preferred Ability to prioritize competing projects and work under pressure to meet stringent deadlines is highly desirable Work mode designation: This position has been designated as Hybrid 2 Days. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University. Such review may necessitate a change to a positions mode of work designation. Pay range: $66,783.00 - $126,720.23 Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidates individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the Universitys business needs and external factors.
