Medical Assistant
As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient flow in a busy outpatient office environment. You will be responsible for greeting patients and visitors promptly and courteously, assisting them throughout their visit, and ensuring they are prepared for their examination. Responsibilities
Monitor patient arrival and assist with patient flow. Escort patients to exam rooms and assist in preparing for exams. Obtain and record patient's chief complaints, vital signs, allergies, and other relevant information. Prepare and maintain medical records, ensuring all lab and other reports are available before appointments. Provide interpretation services and clerical support as needed. Maintain and stock examination rooms in an orderly and clean manner. Update patient information, including medical insurance coverage in the EMR system. Retrieve and file medical reports and lab results. Ensure patient health information is kept confidential in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Essential Skills
Experience with EMR systems. Ability to take and record vitals accurately. Strong knowledge of patient care and medical assisting. Familiarity with scheduling appointments and using systems like Epic. Additional Skills & Qualifications
2+ years of healthcare experience. Work Environment
This position is based in a busy outpatient office located in Westchester, with openings in Scarsdale, Hawthorne, White Plains, Monroe, and Suffern, New York. The office operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, handling 50-100 patients a day. The work environment is fast-paced, requiring exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.
