Because of the complex, multi-party nature of the cases we handleoften involving multiple defendants, insurance carriers, UM/UIM claims, and high-value damageswe are seeking a Litigation Paralegal who is not limited to discovery tasks alone. This role is a central hub for the entire litigation process, integrating the work done in the pre-litigation phase with the demands of trial preparation. From ensuring the claim-phase evidence is complete, to tracking every deadline during the discovery schedule, to preparing comprehensive mediation presentations that set the tone for negotiation, the Litigation Paralegal is a direct partner in case strategy and execution. This Litigation Paralegal can manage a high-volume, fast-moving docket; ensure that every case file is airtight; and work in lockstep with Saundra M. Davis, P.C., to position each matter for the strongest possible outcomewhether through settlement or verdict. This is not a passive, paper-pushing position. This is a proactive, strategic, and highly involved role for someone who thrives in the rhythm of litigation and understands that success is built in the details long before trial begins. What you'll do: In this role, you will manage the full lifecycle of litigation filesfrom complaint to verdictensuring all tasks are completed promptly, deadlines are met, and case materials are trial-ready. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Case Management: Oversee the firm's roster of active cases simultaneously, maintaining detailed and organized case files (digital and physical). Monitor case progress, track deadlines, and provide regular updates to attorneys and clients. Ensure all discovery responses, pleadings, and filings are accurate, complete, and timely. Pre-Litigation Awareness & Claims Integration: Understand the pre-litigation process to ensure complete claim-phase documentation, including sufficient photos, medical records, and lost wage information. Verify that case files are trial-ready from the outset of litigation, with no gaps from the claim stage. Discovery & Litigation Support: Draft, review, and track discovery requests and responses for all attorneys and defendants in multi-party litigation. Follow up on outstanding discovery with opposing counsel, UM/UIM (uninsured and underinsured motorist) carriers, and their attorneys. Coordinate statutory service to counsel and handle e-filings with precision and timeliness. Prepare deposition and mediation materials, including organizing exhibits, witness lists, and attorney slide presentations. Mediation & Trial Prep: Assist in creating comprehensive mediation presentations (often resembling trial openings) that set the tone for settlement negotiations. Prepare trial binders, jury instructions, and exhibit lists. Coordinate with expert witnesses, clients, and providers to ensure readiness. Client Communication: Maintain proactive, personable, and consistent contact with clients to secure timely responses, complete discovery requests, and provide case updates. Guide clients through the litigation process, ensuring clarity and confidence at each stage. Systems & Documentation: Update and maintain all case statuses in FileVine. Ensure both digital and physical files are accurate and current to allow for seamless access by attorneys and other team members. What we're looking for: Education & Certification: Paralegal certification required (CP, CLA, or equivalent). Additional coursework or continuing legal education in personal injury litigation preferred. Experience: Minimum 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in plaintiff-side personal injury with a focus on auto, trucking, motorcycle, or commercial vehicle accidents. Demonstrated experience in multi-party litigation, UM/UIM claims, and discovery management. Prior experience handling a high-volume caseload (50+ cases) in a fast-paced environment. Skills & Competencies: Strong understanding of litigation procedures from complaint through verdict, including statutory service, e-filing, discovery, mediation, and trial preparation. Exceptional organizational skills, able to prioritize and meet tight deadlines across multiple active cases. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, attorneys, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
