Lead Maintenance Technician
This position is for a Lead Maintenance Technician in an aluminum extrusion environment. The role involves overseeing all aspects of plant maintenance while gaining experience in supervisory responsibilities and leading the maintenance technicians. Tasks include performing preventative maintenance (PMs), handling reactive maintenance, and addressing any facilities maintenance requirements that arise. The facility operates aluminum extrusion machines, and the role also involves work on CNC machines, brake presses, lasers, and some powder coating machines. Participate in daily passover meetings to understand maintenance priorities. Perform reactive maintenance to ensure continuous production operation. Repair and maintain all components of extrusion machines, including 3-phase 480v motors, servo and AC/DC motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, extruders, VFDs, and gearboxes. Conduct basic preventative maintenance tasks such as greasing bearings and tightening bolts. Work with PLC-operated machines and troubleshoot issues as needed. Assist with large-scale PM programs twice annually, in July and December. Proficiency in pneumatics and hydraulics. Experience with PLC troubleshooting and industrial maintenance. Skilled in 3-phase 480v electrical systems and schematic interpretation. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities. Experience with hydraulic presses and PLC systems, specifically Allen-Bradley. Welding skills are beneficial. Experience in facilities maintenance is advantageous. Work shifts include 1st shift from 7:00am-3:00pm, 2nd shift from 3:00pm-11:00pm, and 3rd shift from 11:00pm-7:00am. The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
