Lead Millwright

The Lead Millwright will oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of manufacturing equipment across various industrial projects. This role requires hands-on mechanical expertise, leadership capabilities, and coordination with cross-functional teams including electricians and mechanics. The ideal candidate will ensure safe, efficient, and timely execution of equipment setup and operational readiness. Key Responsibilities: Lead and supervise a team of millwrights, mechanics, and electricians during equipment installation and commissioning. Interpret blueprints, layout plans, and technical drawings to plan and execute machinery installation. Dismantle, move, erect, align, and secure heavy machinery using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks. Perform troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical systems, ensuring minimal downtime. Coordinate with project managers and engineers to meet project timelines and specifications. Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a culture of safety among team members. Maintain documentation of work performed, including installation logs, maintenance records, and safety checks. Qualifications: Proven experience leading installation teams in industrial or manufacturing environments. Proficiency in blueprint reading, hydraulics, vibration analysis, conveyor systems, and electrical systems up to 480V5. Familiarity with PLCs, lockout/tagout procedures, and laser shaft alignment technologies. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Preferred Skills: Welding and fabrication experience. Experience with precision machinery and tight tolerances. Own tools and PPE. Certifications in rigging, forklift operation, or OSHA safety standards. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
