Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

is responsible for assuring the quality of processes and products from suppliers meet Beckman requirements. Working with Production and Suppliers to analyze/manage/understand issues, and problem solve to define corrective actions. Addressing supplier NC's and SCN's. Reviewing and approving Component qualification reports. This position reports to the Manager

Supplier Development and is part of the Quality Organization located in Indianapolis and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Coordinate and facilitate the resolution of problems involving the integration of suppliers' products and services into Beckman's manufacturing processes. Drive Root Cause Investigation and Corrective Actions with Suppliers Investigate and analyze technical issues relating to quality, tooling and supplier manufacturing based on considerable prior experience Provide technical consultation to internal and external suppliers for the selection of manufacturing processes. Act as the Subject Matter Expert related to the assigned commodity(s) Review validation reports and/or first article submissions for new supplied components. Support Production with rapid communication and resolution of supplier related issues The essential requirements of the job include: Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or related discipline 5+ years of relevant experience, primarily focused on the design, manufacturing, and quality of component parts Competent in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint at a minimum) Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: Ability to travel

Up to 25% It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Strong problem-solving skills and familiarity with techniques such as 5 whys, 8D, pareto analysis, Design of Experiments, DMAIC, and others. Self-starter with a sense of urgency to resolve issues and complete projects Works well with others and is able to coordinate efforts with own and other departments Ability to read and interpret design prints.
