Description Skorpios Technologies, Inc., an innovator in heterogeneous integration of silicon photonic technology and semiconductor development, is seeking a Shipping Associate responsible for all aspects of the inbound and outbound shipping process. This includes preparing and packaging orders, creating shipping labels and documentation, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining accurate records. The position is also responsible for ensuring efficient, safe, and professional packaging, shipping, and receiving of various items. The role supports various activities associated with materials handling. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess a keen eye for detail, and be committed to quality and efficiency. Read, understand, and implement company shipping and receiving procedures

Read, understand, and implement company inventory management procedures

Execute domestic and international shipping requirements

Fulfill customer orders by accurately picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment, ensuring all items are correct and securely packaged to prevent damage during transit

Generate domestic and international shipping labels, packing slips, and other required documentation using various carrier portals (e.g., UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, MyDHL). Verify shipping information for accuracy and select appropriate carriers and service levels

Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure they meet company standards and customer specifications

Track, trace, and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments

Log all incoming shipments in the shipping/receiving log sheet

Review, verify, and approve shipment invoices

Assist with maintaining accurate inventory counts and communicate any discrepancies to the warehouse supervisor

Schedule pickups with various freight and parcel carriers and ensure timely dispatch of all outgoing shipments

Keep the shipping area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies

Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures within the warehouse to maintain a safe working environment Material Handling : Provide additional backup support for material handling.

Maintain inventory levels to ensure deliveries occur within customer timelines.

Provide kits and other materials to the production team and other internal customers. Requirements High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Proven experience in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse role is highly preferred.

Familiarity with shipping software and carrier portals (e.g., UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager) is a plus.

Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks is desirable.

Experience with handling and shipping

hazardous materials (hazmat)

is a plus.

Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software.

Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel to access products and supplies.

Willingness to work in a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures.
