The Energy Technical Content team creates and manages technical documents, illustrations, videos, and animations supporting stakeholders across Energy Storage, Charging, and Solar product lines. We seek a senior 3D Generalist/Technical Illustrator with experience in CAD-based illustrations to develop technical visuals for various products. This role involves working cross-functionally to create exploded view diagrams, renderings, and Photoshop/Illustrator illustrations. What You'll Do
Create high-quality 3D product visualizations optimized for real-time or pre-rendered pipelines. Develop detailed isometric, exploded view, and perspective technical illustrations based on engineering data, CAD models, or sketches. Produce illustrations for service manuals, installation guides, assembly instructions, and safety documentation. Interpret complex technical concepts into clear visual representations for both technical and non-technical audiences. Collaborate with engineers, writers, and product teams to ensure accuracy and clarity. Maintain illustration libraries, templates, and style guides for consistency. Lead development of visual standards and best practices for illustration workflows. What You'll Bring
3+ years of professional experience in 3D art, graphic design, animation, or related fields. Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as 3ds Max or Blender, and CAD software like SolidWorks or 3D Experience (Catia V5). Strong skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Knowledge of real-time engines (Unreal Engine, Unity) and offline rendering engines (Vray, Octane, Blender Cycles), capable of creating stylized and photorealistic assets. Experience with modeling, UV mapping, texturing, rigging, lighting, and rendering. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively; proactive and leadership qualities.
