DoorDash Labs is an independent team within DoorDash. We're hiring an experienced leader to build our fleet management and service planning functions for robotics solutions solving business problems. About the Role You will be the head of the PHX Market for all things robotics at DoorDash Labs. You will be responsible for all things supply and demand in the PHX market. You will lead operations and conduct all types of cross-functional activities including real estate procurement and retrofit, community and regulatory engagement, and ongoing data collection to unlock new capabilities in the market. This role must be located in the Greater PHX area and you will report to the Sr. Director, Robot Operations in our DoorDash Labs organization.

Foster a safety-first approach to all things operations in the market and beyond

Lead all robot operations within the Phoenix market, managing both supply and demand dynamics for the commercial operation

Collect data based on engineering priorities in the market to build and unlock new autonomous capabilities and open new commercial demand

Work with cross-functional partners including real estate, risk, environmental health and safety, and others to execute on our real estate strategy, retrofit sites, and conduct regular facility maintenance to protect our employees and operators.

Engage with local communities and regulatory bodies to foster positive relationships and ensure compliance with operating permits

Monitor KPIs and metrics regularly to ensure maximum efficiency and resource utilization

Serve as a critical escalation point in case of incident response

Manage and develop a team of operations professionals, providing guidance and fostering a high-performance culture

You may need to work nights or weekends to oversee and spot-check the team.

8+ years of work experience

Experience leading operational teams of 25+

Experience engaging with the media or community leaders

Prior experience in robotics or autonomous vehicles

Belief in 1% improvement every day
