Summary:

At Imperial, we sell, distribute, and service General Merchandise, Seasonal Products, and Health/Beauty/Wellness Products to our customers. As a Shipper, you will prepare pallets for loading by customer store, use the shrink wrap machine, load and unload trailers using pallet jacks, and load or unload product, boxes or totes onto or off of pallets, skids, or carts.

Warehouse experience is preferred.

Pay: $16/hr

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing all of the duties successfully, related to Shipping that includes:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Preparation of pallets for loading by store. Pallet configuration. Load boxes or totes from conveyor onto pallets. Shrink wrapping of pallets by store. Use a pallet jack. Loading completed pallets on trucks. Unloading full cases from shuttle in orderly fashion to merge with other product. Count and record pallet counts. Rotate between shipping lanes, as assigned. Meets productivity and accuracy standard. Other duties and tasks assigned. Qualification:

High School Diploma or GED Basic computer skills requiring able to use a log in and password and follow simple instructions. Previous experience helpful, one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Physical Demands:

Continuously perform repetitive physical tasks involving frequent walking, reaching, bending, lifting, twisting, pushing/pulling, and standing. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally team lift up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts (rollers). The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee is exposed to hot/cold weather/air depending upon the season. Employee is occasionally exposed to dust. Employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, as the doors to the docks are opened and closed.
