School Counseling Department Administrative Assistant - Georgia Connections Academy
Working from the office in Duluth, GA, the Administrative Assistant is a 12-month employee that is responsible for assisting the Counseling Support Specialist and the School Counseling Department with administrative tasks such as answering calls and emails, generating reports, preparing mail merge documents, large volume copy and mail projects and other duties as assigned. This position is vital to ensuring that the School Counseling and Social Work team can provide a data-driven comprehensive counseling program that nurtures and promotes the personal, social, career, and academic success of every student. Responsibilities: Effective written and verbal communication with parents, students, staff, and others. Enter data into the online student information system. Familiarity with student records, record transcription, school level promotion and graduation requirements in order to assist with records requests and management. Generate reports and prepare documents for department and district-wide mail merge projects. Support school-wide events and programs such as graduation and school testing. Assist with department newsletter and website updates. Attend virtual and in-person department, school or district meetings as required. Additional duties as assigned. Requirements: Bachelor's degree strongly preferred 2-4 years of working in a school or office setting required Proficiency with both Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and Google Suite as well as web-based applications is essential. Familiarity with information management systems, as well as online design and publishing tools. Knowledge of expense reports Ability to multitask in a fast-paced team environment Good interpersonal skills and attention to detail Excellent communication skills, both oral and written Customer focused approach High degree of flexibility Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information Ability to work remotely if necessary May require occasional overnight travel Must be able to use a personal electronic device and an email address for two-step authentication Equal Opportunity Employer.
