Veolia Nuclear Solutions Federal Services is looking for a Senior Project Manager. In this position, successful individuals will support and help steer the Engineering Business Line. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented individual who possesses the ability to work well independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment using excellent communication and time management skills. In addition, Senior Project Managers will lead and develop proposals, form project teams, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. The candidate should also be able to support the recruiting and hiring process, develop budgets and staffing plans, perform engineering design evaluations, develop and provide input on company-level processes/procedures, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers and project managers. Responsibilities
Identify Opportunities and develop capture proposals. Recruit, hire, and manage engineering and project management staff. Develop and maintain relationships with clients and partners. Form and lead multidiscipline design teams to deliver detailed designs. Manage projects including schedules and budgets and interfaces with clients including project reporting. Review and evaluate customer design criteria and interpreting and applying design codes and standards to ensure design products conform to approved design criteria. Develop and apply broad knowledge of principles and practices in Project Management. Evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria for management of projects. Lead multiple projects of moderate size simultaneously. Qualifications
Required Education/Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering 20+ years of experience in engineering & project management 10+ years of experience in support of nuclear facilities or designs DOE (LANL, SNRS, IEC or Hanford) Experience strongly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of Project Management Principles (EVMS, Scheduling, Budgeting, Accruals, and invoicing) Must have excellent written and oral communications skills as well as excellent computer skills that are relevant to job applications (Microsoft Suite including Projects, Primavera). Desired Qualifications Experience with Federal Projects within the Department of Defense, Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration. Execution of DOE O 413.3B Projects Hanford, Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), and/or National Nuclear Security Site (NNSS) experience. Accountabilities: Accountable to the Engineering Director for project performance. Develop Technical and Cost Proposals. Develop Project Plans and execute assigned projects on schedule and budget. Support engineering staff in planning and execution of work. Interacts with clients, customers, officials, and contractors. Deliver scope on time, on budget, and in accordance with expectations, including delivery in a safe and secure manner. Compliance with policies and procedures.
