The Purchasing/Estimating Lead role is a crucial role within the organization that combines numerous facets of the companys purchasing, estimating, and vendor management operations. The ideal candidate for this position would be a well-organized, analytical, team player with a desire to succeed. Job Responsibilities Purchasing Assist in the management and execution of daily Purchasing requirements. Estimating Perform accurate material and labor takeoffs as needed to accurately compile budgets. Procurement Identify Select Negotiate - Manage Vendor Management Maintain relationships with all Suppliers and Trade Partners. Establishing mutually agreeable terms and conditions with Suppliers and Trade Partners. Departmental Procedural Processes Execute and adhere to established operational procedures. Software Configuration Internal setup of all necessary components needed to fulfill the purchasing process.
Skills & Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Purchasing, Estimating, and/or Vendor Management with the construction industry Strong negotiating and communication skills Attention to detail Time Management Organizational skills Ability to build and maintain strong relationships Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Contract law and risk management knowledge Proficiency with Constellation Software (Newstar) and Microsoft Suite Advanced knowledge in the following areas: Blueprints Estimating Procurement Vendor/Supplier Management Cost Management Quality Control Compliance Accuracy Team player with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
