to hire a
Field Service Technician
. This is a
direct-hire opportunity
ideal for someone with strong mechanical and electrical skills, excellent customer service, and the flexibility to travel nationally.
Candidates must be based in the Pacific Northwest (Washington or Oregon).
National travel is required - technicians are home on weekends.
Position Summary:
The Field Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing
advanced industrial imaging and inspection equipment
at customer locations across the U.S. This hands-on role involves regular travel, technical problem-solving, and customer-facing service.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair complex industrial systems and components
Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance
Communicate clearly with customers regarding service progress and outcomes
Document all service activities including work orders, mileage logs, and expenses
Maintain tools, equipment, and a service vehicle
Stay current with product updates, service standards, and safety practices
Collaborate with internal teams for issue resolution and process improvements
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required; technical certifications a plus
2+ years of hands-on experience in field service, equipment repair, or maintenance
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability
Professional, clear communication skills with a customer-first mindset
Ability to travel nationally (weekdays) with most weekends home
Based in WA or OR with valid driver's license
Able to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical tasks safely
Familiarity with ERP or service documentation tools is a plus
Work Environment:
National travel during the week; home on weekends
Customer-facing role in field and industrial environments
Physically active role requiring regular lifting, bending, and tool use

$30.00 to $35.00 per hour
