Description:
The Patient Service Coordinator is responsible for assisting in processing and transferring a patient’s prescription to the patient’s preferred dispensing pharmacy. This is an office-based opportunity for Pharmacy Technicians.
The position supports all job responsibilities with regulatory compliance, including pharmacy best practices. Receive prescription orders and verify the accuracy of the information, including patient details, medication, and dosage.
• Enter prescription information into the pharmacy’s computer system
• Confirm insurance coverage for patients and process claims
• Making outbound and answering inbound calls with patients and healthcare providers to clarify prescription details, coverage information or gather additional information to process the prescription.
Qualifications:
-Knowledge of pharmacy benefit and medical benefit insurance coverage is HIGHLY preferred and considered
-Strong communication, problem solving, and customer service skills
-Ability to adapt and successfully handle unexpected situations
-Ability to obtain Pharmacy Technician license or is current licensed
Hours:
Monday - Friday
Must have OPEN availability for shift set between 7AM - 8PM during the week.
This position is a that REQUIRES in-office work onsite in Chesterfield, MO. This is a 90 day contract with potential to become a long term role with excellent performance. Targeted start date is December 4th!
